The Reality

Most students go abroad academically qualified — but unprepared for reality.

Intelligence isn't the problem. Independence is. Smart students fail due to poor habits. Universities don't monitor or chase students. Consequences appear late — when damage is done.

×

Moving from structured parent and school-led direction to a self-directed path

×

Poor time management and self-discipline

×

Difficulty communicating with professors

×

Struggling socially and emotionally

×

Falling behind — silently

Insurance on Tuition

Think of U-Prep as insurance on your tuition investment.

You've already committed lakhs — or crores — to your child's overseas education. U-Prep protects that investment.

Cost of U-Prep

A fraction

Less than 5% of one year's overseas tuition

Cost of One Failed Semester

₹10–15 lakhs

Tuition, housing, lost time, repeat coursework

Cost of a Dropout

₹40–80 lakhs

Tuition lost, visa complications, years of momentum

U-Prep is the smallest line item — and the one that protects every other rupee you've invested.

The Founders

Built by People Who Have Lived It

Each founder studied overseas — and watched peers struggle with the very things universities never teach. U-Prep is the program we wish had existed for our own families.

"We don't teach your child what to think. We prepare them to think — and live — independently."

What Parents Say

Families who chose preparation over reaction.

"
Our son struggled in his first month at Imperial. After U-Prep, his younger sister arrived at UCL ready — managing her time, her professors, her own laundry. The difference was night and day.

"
We had already paid the tuition. What we hadn't planned for was whether he could handle being alone. U-Prep gave us the confidence — and him the skills — to make the leap.

Mr. & Mrs. Agarwal · Delhi

Son at Cornell University

"
I was skeptical of one more program. But U-Prep is not a course — it is a rehearsal for adulthood. Worth every rupee, and a fraction of what one bad semester would have cost.

FAQ

Questions families ask

Straight answers about how U-Prep works, who it's for, and how to apply.

What is U-Prep?

+

U-Prep is a private preparation program for Indian families sending their children to overseas universities. We build the practical, social, and emotional readiness skills universities assume — but never teach — so students don't just get in, they thrive.

Who is U-Prep for?

+

Families whose child has been admitted to (or is targeting) a university abroad — typically in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or Europe. We work with students aged roughly 16–19 and their parents.

How is U-Prep different from a college counsellor or test prep service?

+

Counsellors get students admitted. We make sure they stay enrolled and succeed once they arrive. There is no overlap with academic tutoring, SAT/ACT prep, or admissions consulting — U-Prep starts where those services end.

How long is the program and how does it work?

+

U-Prep runs as a structured cohort program leading up to departure, with continued check-ins through the first semester abroad. Students meet with mentors regularly, parents receive monthly debriefs, and families have direct WhatsApp access to their child's mentor.

How much does U-Prep cost?

+

U-Prep is a premium private program. Pricing depends on the level of mentorship and is shared during the personal review of your invitation request. Each intake is limited to 24 families.

How do I join? Is there an application?

+

Yes. Submit a Request an Invitation form. A founding partner personally reviews each application within 5–7 days and follows up to discuss fit before any offer is made.

Do you work with schools, counsellors, or education agents?

+

Yes. U-Prep partners with schools, counsellors, and international education agents as a complementary readiness layer. Visit the For Educators or For Agents pages to learn more.

Prepare your child before they leave home.

You can't go overseas with your child. But you can make sure they're ready before they go.
